A man who has been missing for 56 years has finally had his disappearance reported to police.
At the recent pop-up familial DNA collection program in Queanbeyan, a family member provided a sample of his DNA and reported the disappearance of Ronald Peter Owen, hoping it would lead to him being found.
Ronald was last seen at his family home on Norman Street in Wendouree West, Victoria, some time in 1966.
At the time of his disappearance Ronald was 18-years-old. He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, of solid build, about 175 cm tall, with a fair complexion and brown hair.
Ronald’s family believe he may have travelled from Victoria to NSW shortly after he was last seen.
Today he would be 75-years-old.
Officers with the State Crime Command’s Missing Person’s Registry have opened an investigation into Ronald’s whereabouts. Anyone who may have information about Ronald has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
