A man and a woman have had 39 charges laid against them following an extensive investigation into fraud and drug supply in the Goulburn area.
The arrests took place on Wednesday (11 November) after riot squad members, detectives and police officers raided a home in Goulburn as part of Strike Force Hatchetfish which was established in April by detectives from the Hume Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the area.
A 42-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station.

The police operation began shortly after 8:00 am, with search warrants executed at a home on Kinghorne Street in Goulburn and a storage facility located in Robinson Street. Local police were assisted by officers from the public order riot squad and dog unit.
During the searches, officers located and seized a large quantity of power tools believed to be stolen, a Mitsubishi Triton utility, three motorbikes, the drug ‘ice’ and cash.
These items will undergo forensic examination.
The 33-year-old woman is arrested by police at Goulburn on Wednesday.
The woman was charged with a total of 32 charges, including eight charges of supplying a prohibited drug, 10 charges of receiving stolen property and a series of other charges relating to fraud and dealing with the proceeds of crime for an amount more than $100,000.
Police will allege the pair supplied ice throughout the Goulburn area on multiple occasions.
It’s further alleged the woman falsely represented a woman that was known to them in order to name the man as the beneficiary of a funeral insurance policy. Police will allege the man falsely claimed an $8,000 payment in August 2020.
It’s further alleged the pair concealed information about a stabbing and kidnapping in Goulburn in August 2020.
The man was arrested on seven charges, including dishonestly obtaining property by deception, two charges of taking part in the supply of a prohibited drug and concealing a serious indictable offence.
Police seize items believed to be stolen as part of the investigation.
The pair were refused bail to appear in Goulburn Local Court today (12 November).
Investigations under Strike Force Hatchetfish are continuing.
