Police are investigating the alleged theft of a pet calf who was apparently stolen from a rural property in the Monaro last month.

The three-month-old calf, called ‘Taffy’, was allegedly stolen overnight between 9 pm on 3 December 2024 and 8 am on 4 December 2024.

NSW Police believe that Taffy, who is a female polled Hereford calf, was taken from a rural property on Arable Road at Arable, which is a locality between Jindabyne and Cooma.

“Rural Crime Investigated attached to the Southern Zone Rural Crime Prevention Team commenced an investigation,” a police spokesperson said.

They can also contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or online by clicking this link.

While Taffy was a pet, it was planned to return her to the pastures once she was older.
