Passenger dies following Tura Beach single-vehicle rollover

A man has died in hospital following a single vehicle crash at Tura Beach.

Emergency services were called to Sapphire Coast Drive at 7:30 pm on Saturday (21 June) following reports of a vehicle rollover.

Officers were told the white sedan had allegedly lost control before it crashed.

A man believed to be in his 30s was behind the wheel, while his passenger was a man believed to be in his 40s.

Both were treated at the scene before being taken to South East Regional Hospital in Bega, both in a critical condition.

The driver was later flown to Canberra Hospital for specialist care.

Police were told the passenger had died in hospital just after 11 pm.

He’s yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established as Crash Investigation Unit officers investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
