Whatever you pick, relax knowing this is one week when activities and events to enjoy are plentiful – here are our top nine picks.

Multiple days

Menopause the Musical

When: 14 to 17 August, shows at 1:30 or 7:30 pm
Where: Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre (The B), 253 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan
Cost: Tickets cost between $79.90 and $89.90 and are available via the Performing Arts Centre’s website.

The original New York and Las Vegas show Menopause The Musical is coming to Queanbeyan. The show follows four women who meet at a lingerie sale – they think they’re different, but they realise they share a black lace bra, memory loss, hot flushes, night sweats and more symptoms of something strange. Menopause The Musical is a celebration for women who are going through the change, set to classic tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The show is recommended for audiences 15 years and older, and features haze effects, flashing (non-strobe) lights, menopausal themes and sexual references.

Classic flicks movie screening

Notorious cat burglar John Robie (played by Cary Grant) has retired to his vineyards on the French Riviera, but his peace is broken when a series of robberies are committed in his style. John sets out to try to clear his name and win back Francie’s (played by Grace Kelly) heart. There will also be some refreshments to enjoy!
