It’s a big weekend for the regional social calendar.
River of Art has taken over the Eurobodalla with more than 100 separate events offering opportunities for everyone to indulge the culture vulture within.
The Dandy Warhols, Wolfmother, Sarah Blasko and Josh Pyke are just a few of the big names hitting Pambula at the epic three-day Wanderer Festival.
Tribute shows and classical music cap off an eclectic live music offering, but if vino or cars are more your speed, the regions still have you covered.

Wanderer Festival

This festival presents a music lineup that transcends genre and demographic and a diverse arts program that combines theatre and comedy, circus and cultural workshops. The massive lineup of a calibre rarely seen in the regions includes The Dandy Warhols, Wolfmother, Sarah Blasko, Josh Pyke, The Vanns, Ziggy Alberts, DMAs, Curtis Harding and The Tesky Brothers. Set against a gorgeous backdrop, Wanderer comprises three unique spaces – Wanderer, The Lost Lands and the Main Stage – created purposefully for the young, old and everyone in between.

Don’t miss this highlight on the 2022 River of Art Festival program – a special concert by jazz legend Vince Jones and his band. Vince’s way of respecting and performing classic hits from the Great American Songbook while incorporating his own sound has made him a rare, genre-defying artist. He will perform alongside his band – Matt McMahon on piano, Karl Dunnicliff on bass, James Hauptman on drums and John Mackey on saxophone.

Mirusia – Songbird

International soprano star Mirusia brings to the stage the music that most inspired her on her journey to becoming one of the world’s favourite classical crossover artists. This concert will feature some of the world’s best classics from The Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story, Whitney Houston’s hit The Greatest Love Of All, country anthem Jolene, and Fleetwood Mac’s Ode to Love, Songbird.
A day to September – A tribute to Mark McColl

Cost: $5 donation entry.
The event honouring Goulburn legend Mark McColl will consist of several performances by bands and artists including Rather be Dead, Omens, Fight Milk, Monoceros, He Covets, Exit Sign, Ashleigh Chapman, Jesse Parsons, Charlotte Lock and S. Wells. All donations go towards Mark’s family.

Mama Mia! Get ready for the acclaimed number one Abba Tribute Show in Australia – Abbasback. Music in the Regions: The Muffat Collective ‘Baroque Passions’

Under the River of Art umbrella comes this performance of the Muffat Collective’s special show, Baroque Passions. Using traditional instruments from the baroque era, including the baroque violin, harpsichord and viola da gamba, the ensemble will transport their audience back to the 17th and 18th centuries with this beautiful music program.
Wendy Mathews & Grace Knight – We’re Going to Graceland – The Songs of Paul Simon

This weekend in Batemans Bay is an exceptional performance from two iconic Australian singers, Wendy Mathews and Grace Knight. They will be performing songs by one of the world’s greatest living songwriters, Paul Simon in their show We’re Going To Graceland. Paul Simon is best known for his popular hits such as Simon & Garfunkel gems like Sounds Of Silence, The Boxer, Homeward Bound and Bridge Over Trouble Water, to his solo classics like, You Can Call Me Al, Late In The Evening, and Graceland.
Australian Cool Climate Wine Show

A show dedicated to showcasing the unique wine styles produced from Australia’s cool-climate wine regions, the long luncheon is already sold out for this popular event. ACT Holden Day 2022

Calling all car enthusiasts – the annual ACT Holden Day car show is back in 2022. It is said to be the biggest Holden-based event in the region. There will be plenty of great food, coffee and ice cream available for purchasing and lots of cars to see and enjoy with the family. All gold coin donations collected upon entry will go directly to the Rise Above Capital Cancer Relief.
