There’s plenty to do in the regions this Mother’s Day weekend – for mum and the whole family.

Running across the whole weekend there’s the annual Narooma Oyster Festival, Cobargo is celebrating 25 years of its Folk Festival and Goulburn is holding a two-day polo tournament for Mother’s Day.

On Saturday, Jindabyne will be holding its monthly Hall Markets, Bicentennial Hall in Queanbeyan will be showcasing an INXS tribute band and The Hive in Queanbeyan will be doing a Hive & Seek Market where you’re sure to find the perfect gift for mum.

To end the weekend on Sunday Mami’s Bar in Batemans Bay is doing a Drag Bingo afternoon, The Dromedary Hotel in Tilba is hosting Chris O’Connor’s blues and the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan is having a Mother’s Day luncheon.

Narooma Oyster Festival

The two-day, multi-award-winning Narooma Oyster Festival is back in 2022. It’s a showcase of the region’s natural, high-quality produce and local culinary talent. It features shucking competitions, live music and tasting of regional wines, craft beer, ciders, fine foods from around the region and of course, oysters from local estuaries. There will also be plenty of entertainment for the kids.

INXS Tribute Show – LIVE BABY LIVE!

Australia’s premier rendition of one of the most iconic bands in Australian history, Live Baby Live! The INXS Tribute Show is coming to Queanbeyan this Saturday night. Mothers Day Luncheon at Royal Hotel Queanbeyan

The Royal Hotel Queanbeyan is hosting a special two-course luncheon in its Upper House. Every mum gets a glass of bubbly on arrival before enjoying dining in the atrium and terrace courtyard and listening to live music from Dana Hassall. Sunday Arvo Session – Chris O’Connor

Would mum enjoy a chilled afternoon of blues with the talented Chris O’Connor? He will be playing his own vintage blues tunes and performing the classics from the 1920s masters Tommy Johnson, Memphis Minnie, Charlie Patton and Lemon Jefferson. Chris showcases a broad range of blues styles and recently made an appearance at the National Folk Festival and Great Southern Blues and represented at the Memphis International Blues Challenge in 2014 and 2019.
