Whether you love music and the arts, or getting back to nature, there’s something for everyone out and about in the region this week.

In Goulburn, Patrick Russell’s play, Prophecy, is playing over the weekend.

In Yass, women are invited to attend a weekend wellness retreat.

Acclaimed jazz musician James Morrison will perform in Milton with his quartet, and Forelle Ensemble will delight audiences in Young.

Take the whole family to the monthly Riverbank Markets in Yass on Sunday, or discover the Westpac Live Saver Rescue Helicopter at Moruya Airport.

Learn about reviving the Clyde River in Batemans Bay, or head to the opening of the much-anticipated Wharf to Wharf Walk between Tathra and Merimbula.

Head to Contentious Character in Wamboin for all you can eat and drink, with a prepaid table for up to two hours, for two to 10 people.

A Contentious Character informally hosts every table, with a selection of their finest museum wines being served continuously while you graze and share plates of the day.

Wharf to Wharf Walk Official Opening

The official opening of the long-awaited walk between the historic wharves of Merimbula and Tathra takes place this weekend.

This 27km coastal walk crosses the ancient lands of the Yuin people, between two historic wharfs on the NSW Sapphire Coast. It’s also a project that has brought together local organisations and community groups to ensure the continuation of care for the region’s pristine natural environment.

James Morrison Quartet

Reviving the Clyde

The South Coast community is invited to come along to Revive the Clyde, an evening in which to learn from leading scientists, fisheries and habitat experts and media personalities to get the latest information on what’s being done to revitalise the Clyde River waterway, and how the community can take the lead.

Canapes will be provided, and drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Chamber Music Concert: Schubertiade

In homage to Austrian chamber music, the Forelle Ensemble travels through NSW and ACT in the spirit of Franz Schubert.

During his lifetime in the early 19th century, Schubert’s music was exclusively played at intimate house soirees, famously known as Schubertiade.

Join the Forelle Ensemble for an afternoon of divine Austrian chamber music at Young Regional School of Music.
