There may be no long weekend in sight for a while, but there’s still plenty of events happening all around the region.
The hilarious stage show, Kiss Me, Kate, is coming to Queanbeyan, while the Snowy Mountains will host the Geometriczion festival in Thredbo.
In Binalong, the locals are set to dance their hearts out for the inaugural Dancing with the Locals event, and Melinda Schneider will perform in Goulburn as A Farewell to Doris.
In Ulladulla, it will be a weekend of books and fun at StoryFest 2021, and further down the NSW South Coast, in Batemans Bay, Winter Solstice Singing will take place.
The Yass Community Markets are on again, there’s a bushfire creative writing workshop in Quaama, and an acclaimed horticulturalist is hosting indoor plant workshops in Jugiong.

A snowy music trip is coming to the Snowy Mountains this weekend. There will be snow time to be had on the slopes in the mornings and afternoons, and then two parties for each of the evenings.

StoryFest 2021 is a storytelling festival in Ulladulla, on the NSW South Coast. It commences on 18 June with guests including Richard Fidler, Tanya Plibersek, Markus Zusak, Nikki Gemmell, Craig Silvey, Charles Massy, Meg Mason, Jessica Dettmann and Malcolm Knox.
It will be a weekend of great books, delicious food and lots of chat highlighting more than 40 writers, filmmakers and poets across a weekend of events and workshops.

Dancing with the Locals

Binalong has been struck by dance fever as residents prepare for the inaugural Dancing with the Locals event.
Ten locals will perform a three-minute routine to raise funds for Binalong Community Club.
