No matter what you’re into or where you’re situated, it’s set to be a big week in the Southern NSW region.
There’s the mini Bungendore Harvest Festival which will celebrate the region’s local produce all weekend from 16-18 April. Not too far away, the Palerang Food & Wine Festival is running in Queanbeyan on 17 April.
Car lovers will be satisfied as the Yass Valley Cruisers Car Club is holding its first swap meet for more than a year on Sunday, 18 April.
Also in Yass, the local community market is running on 17 April.
For people aged 12 to 25 in Goulburn, they can try their hands (and feet) at Goulburn’s Great Race on Friday, 16 April, with plenty of great prizes up for grabs.
Get the whole family involved with a Spring into Scavenge clean-up and exchange event at Lake Jindabyne.
Music and poetry lovers will enjoy the Festival of Small Halls as it rolls into Goulburn. The Luminescence Chamber Singers are also in town to perform.
Moruya will also be hosting a Bad Poetry Night in celebration of World Poetry Day on Thursday, 22 April.

The Bungendore Harvest Festival is an annual celebration of the integrity and freshness of the region’s local produce, cold-climate food and drinks. It explores and promotes how produce is grown in this region, where it is grown, where consumers may access it, how to prepare it, use it, eat it and drink it.

Pambula Village will be buzzing on Saturday, 17 April with Flourish Quarterly Market and the Ephemeral Festival both being held on the same day! Flourish will take place on the grounds of Covington’s (8:00 am to 12:00 pm) and the Ephemeral Festival will be at Panboola (9:00 am to 2:00 pm).
The Flourish philosophy is to re-establish a small niche village farmer’s market to support local makers and creators. Locals and tourists alike can relax and catch up with friends while soaking up the atmosphere and energy on the day and purchase locally handmade and hand grown produce.

Goulburn’s Great Race
When: Friday, 16 April, 2021, at 10:00 am – race starts at 1:00 pm
Where: PCYC Goulburn
Cost: Free.
A full day of events is planned for Friday, 16 April to kick off Youth Week, and it culminates in Goulburn’s Great Race. The event will begin at 10:00 am, with free inflatable activities, presentations and displays, including a setup from Royal Military College Duntroon, and the PCYC sport trailer and free barbecue.
Registrations will be taken throughout the morning for Goulburn’s Great Race, which commences at 1:00 pm. Beginning at PCYC Goulburn, teams of two will race around the CBD on foot and complete challenges and tasks.
Ages 12 to 25 are invited to participate, and pre-registration can be completed by emailing [email protected].

Festival of Small Halls
When: Friday, 16 April, 2021 – gates open at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start
Where: St Saviour’s Hall, Goulburn
Cost: $12 to $15, available online.
The Festival of Small Halls will roll into Goulburn on Friday, 16 April.
The show will open with local musician and Hume Conservatorium scholarship holder Callum White. The tour will be headlined by Byron Bay’s ukulele strummer and drummer Bobby Alu and Victorian two-piece indie pop-rock band This Way North.

The Yass Community Market is held on the first and third Saturday of the month at Yass Memorial Hall. Stalls include fresh vegetables, bread, eggs, cakes, jams, wine, plants, craft, oils and much more.

Jindabyne Spring into Scavenge

In partnership with Mosman Council, NSW Government and The Festival of Place – Summer Fund, the Spring into Scavenge is hitting Jindabyne.
At the event, you’ll be able to clean up your local area, sort and catalogue your litter and then exchange it for pre-loved clothes, books, toys and more that have been donated by the local community.
You will need to register online for an hour’s block.

Yass Swap Meet

Where: Yass Showgrounds, 27 Grand Junction Road, Yass
Cost: $5 entry, and $15 for vendors.
The Yass Valley Cruisers Car Club is holding its first swap meet in more than a year.
They club says vendors are welcome to arrive on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 pm onwards as The Yass Show Society has generously waived camping fees for vendors on Saturday night (17 April). The Yass Show Society will also have the barbecue fired up on Saturday evening.
