More happiness for Eurobodalla kids this Easter, with Council announcing a major upgrade of a Tuross Head playground.
Residents and visitors will soon have a bigger and better playground to enjoy at the Evans Road Reserve, with the existing playground to be closed from late April/early May until the end of June to allow crews from Eurobodalla Shire Council to do the job.
Recreation Services Manager Mark Upson says a lot of thought has gone into the park’s design, reflecting local feedback and ideas.
“The Tuross community told us they wanted the park to have a lot more equipment to cater for a wide range of interests and age groups and that it should be a place where people could come together and connect,” he says.
“We think the new park will be a wonderful space to bring the family to relax, play and celebrate. It will cater to the young and young-at-heart with a range of exciting and inclusive equipment to swing, slide, climb and spin on, as well as new picnic tables, shelter, and a barbecue.”
The Evans Road Reserve playground upgrade is funded through Council’s playground renewal program, the new design was created by specialist playground designers based on feedback from the Tuross community in October last year.
