A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the Snowy Mountains earlier this morning (13 April).
Emergency services were called to Kosciuszko Road, about 1 km south of the Jerrara Drive intersection in East Jindabyne, at about 10:50 am following reports of a collision between a motorbike and a truck.
The 50-year-old male motorcyclist died before they arrived.
The 58-year-old male truck driver was not injured but was arrested and taken to Cooma Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established, with diversions still in place as at 2:45 pm.
The road is expected to be closed between Barry Way and Jerrara Drive for a number of hours.
Motorists can travel to East Jindabyne via Dalgety Road and the Snowy River Way.
The diversion is suitable for all vehicles barring B-doubles.
Residents of Jerrara Drive can gain access from Kosciuszko Road, and Tyrolean residents must access from Jindabyne (via Dalgety if coming from Cooma).
Any witnesses or motorists with dashcam footage of the crash have been urged to get in touch with Jindabyne Police on 6450 3370 or via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
