A man will appear in court after he was charged over a damaging fire at a Monaro hotel last year.

Emergency services were called to the fire at the Globe Hotel in Bombala about 4:20 am on 25 June 2022.

Fire crews put out the blaze but the property did sustain extensive damage, NSW Police said.

The scene was examined by forensic police and the cause of the fire was determined to be suspicious, so officers established Strike Force Cadboll to investigate.
