Man arrested after gun fired at Goulburn home

Police have arrested a man in Sydney’s west after he allegedly fired a gun at a home in Goulburn.

Just before 8 pm on Sunday, June 9, police say a man went to a house on Strathallen Crescent, Goulburn.

“The man knocked on the door of the home, and when nobody answered he allegedly produced a shortened firearm and fired a shot at the house before driving from the scene,” police report.

The incident was reported the next day, and officers from The Hume Police District.

At about 11.50am yesterday (June 18), police attended an address on Fraser Street, Macquarie Fields, and arrested a 32-year-old man.

“He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with breach AVO, discharge firearm into premises, possess shortened firearm, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and possess unauthorised firearm.”

The man was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (June 19).
