A man has been arrested and charged with firearm and weapon offences following a police search at a house in Goulburn.

As reported earlier by Region Media, police officers attended the home in Caoura Crescent on Sunday (June 23) where a 39-year-old man had been stabbed in the neck

A 33-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and charged with wounding the man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The wounded man was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Since then, police have reported further action and an arrest.

“At 1.30pm yesterday (June 25), police executed a search warrant at the home and located a replica pistol buried in the rear yard of the premises,” police say.

“Officers also located a home-made electronic control device, bullets, prescription medication and jewellery.

“A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene and conveyed to Goulburn Police Station.”

The man has been charged with 11 offences related to the possession of prohibited and unregistered weapons including a taser, pistol, air rifle, rifle, replica pistols, and ammunition. Charges were also laid in relation to the medication and jewellery found at the home.

The man was refused bail and will appear in Goulburn Local Court today (June 26).
