Dog of the week: Tina
Meet Tina!
Tina is a 10-month-old tri-colour labrador mix.
When she came into care she was fearful, suspicious and traumatised after a tough start to life.
Lots of love and attention from her foster mum and foster mum’s sweet dog have brought Tina out of her shell, but she will still need a quiet home where she has lots of human company and the companionship of another gentle dog.
Plenty of love and companionship will help to show her the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
As a labrador mix, Tina is very food oriented and easy to train – as long as you have plenty of treats.
To help make her transition into her new home as smooth as possible, Tina is only available for adoption in the local area.

Meet Sylvie!
Sylvie is an 11-year-old cat with a gorgeous velvety-soft silver coat – but her looks have nothing on her beautiful, loving heart.
She came into care after her elderly owner had a fall and could no longer live at home.
Sweet Sylvie sat beside her owner for several days as they both waited for help to arrive.
After losing her home in such sad circumstances, Sylvie took a little time to adjust, but she is now showing her affectionate personality, enjoying gentle pats and chin scratches in particular.
Once she warms up to you she becomes a real chatterbox.
Sylvie was doted on by her previous owner, and no wonder! She’s a really lovely lady who deserves the very best retirement home.
