Dog of the week: Buddy
Meet Buddy!
Buddy is an 11-year-old fox terrier cross with a big personality and even bigger heart.
At 10 kgs, he’s small but sturdy, and moves through the world with confidence.
Buddy came into care because his owner sadly died.
Buddy plays well with dogs of all sizes, and humans too, and loves being around children.
He’s more than happy sharing toys and his humans with other dogs, so he would be suited to a multi-dog home.
Buddy is affectionate and loyal, happiest when he’s walking or sleeping by your side.
If you love an adventure, Buddy is the perfect pup for you. He travels well in cars, walks well on lead and is responsive off-lead.
He’s not a fan of chasing balls (how undignified) but loves to lay on his back and gently wrestle with you.
Buddy enjoys chew toys, especially ropes, but the most important thing to him is quality time with his humans.
His ideal home will be one where he has company most of the time – so if you’re looking for a friendly, adventurous companion, look no further than Buddy!

Cat of the week: Tish
Meet Tish!
Tish is a pretty 14-month-old domestic shorthair cat with a lovely tabby and white coat.
Tish was surrendered to the AWL with her six tiny kittens, as the dogs in her previous home were not cat friendly.
As a result, Tish is a little wary of dogs, but she is developing more trust as a result of exposure to her carer’s friendly canines.
Tish is a sweet girl who enjoys human company.
She’s happy to curl up on your lap and enjoy some quality time together.
Tish is comfortable staying inside and watching the world through a window, and is ready to make someone a loving companion.
Tish and Buddy, like all AWL pets, come microchipped, desexed, vaccinated and flea, tick and worm treated.
