Dog of the week: Wally
Meet Wally!
He is a sweet and happy 19-month-old brown kelpie x ridgeback, who was surrendered to Animal Welfare League because his owner did not have the time for him that Wally needs and deserves.
Wally is a little reserved at first when meeting new people, but soon warms up and shows his loving personality and enjoyment at meeting new friends.
Wally loves to laze around and you will often find him soaking up the sun in a quiet spot.

Wally is great with people and other dogs.
Sometimes he forgets his size and gets a little jumpy but never aggressive.
He has not spent much time around young children (under 10).
Wally is house-trained and knows basic commands. He is smart and will benefit from ongoing training to bring out his full potential.
In keeping with his breeding, Wally is an energetic boy and an active home where he will have lots of opportunity for exercise and play (tug of war is a favourite) will suit him best.
