A man has been charged and more than $230,000 cash and cocaine has been seized following a vehicle stop near the Dog on the Tuckerbox, near Gundagai.
About 1:15 am this morning (8 November), officers attached to the Riverina Police District stopped a Mitsubishi Lancer on the Hume Highway at Gundagai for the purpose of roadside testing.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, where they allegedly located and seized cocaine, more than $230,000 in cash concealed in bags, and two mobile phones.
The driver, a 19-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Cootamundra Police Station, where he was charged with possess prohibited drug and possess suspected proceeds (more than $10,000).
He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to face Cootamundra Local Court on 2 December 2019.
Police inquiries are continuing.
