About Mackenzie Watkins

Mackenzie Watkins is a young journalist, working as an intern at Region whilst completing her degree at the Australian National University, where she studies Political Science and Arts, specialising in Criminology.

Originally hailing from Melbourne, Mackenzie has lived in Canberra for 4 years and hopes to spend many more years here.

After spending many years working as a disability support worker, Mackenzie has a strong passion in giving a voice to marginalised population.

When she’s not writing, Mackenzie will often be down at the paddocks riding horses or indulging in a good book and cup of tea.
