A man and woman have been charged following a string of alleged break-ins, pursuits and ram raids across the Central West and Riverina.

NSW Police last week released CCTV video of an early morning raid on a motorcycle shop in Young on April 4, calling on the public to assist in their investigations.

The footage captures the moments after a stolen Toyota Prado has been reversed through the glass windows of the shop on Lovell Street.

One man in a red hoodie can be seen struggling to open the back door of the vehicle before his partner in crime, dressed in a black jumper and red hood, returns to the driver’s door to unlock it.

The pair then bungle their way about the store toppling and attempting to steal several dirt bikes before settling on a mini-bike small enough to fit in the Prado and driving away.

In the hours leading up to the video, a Mitsubishi Triton had been stolen from a home Cowra at 9:45 pm on Sunday 3 April.

Police spotted the ute in Young at around 11 pm and, when it failed to pull over, gave chase.

As the pursuit continued, a string of items were thrown from the vehicle, including a baby seat, and it was called off amid safety concerns.

At around 1 am the Mitsubishi was found alight outside a home on Goldfields Way, Sebastopol between Temora and Junee.

The thieves had broken into the home and stolen car keys, a wallet and credit cards before taking off towards Young in the Toyota Prado.

Officers from both the Chifley and Hume Police Districts joined forces to investigate the spate of alleged property and traffic-related offences that had occurred across the region.

Police executed a search warrant at a home in Cowra on Tuesday (24 May), where they seized a number of items alleged to be stolen.

A 37-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Cowra Police Station.

The man was charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter, committing a serious indictable offence in company-steal, three counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, two counts of being carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, damage property by fire/explosion and three counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception.
