Police have called for information as their investigation into an alleged home invasion continues.
A NSW Police spokesperson said a man was seriously assaulted during a home invasion on the state’s South Coast earlier this month.
Shortly before 1 am on 13 October, emergency services were called to a house on Yarralumla Crescent in Tomakin.
Officers from the South Coast Police District attended the scene, and police say two men assaulted a 39-year-old man before fleeing from the scene.
Police previously alleged the two men entered the home through unknown means.
The man, who was located unresponsive, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
The man remains in hospital in a stable condition, police say.
A crime scene was established following the incident, with South Coast detectives forming Strike Force Finnie.
Following their initial inquiries, Strike Force detectives hope to speak with the driver of a small, black-coloured vehicle that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
Detectives are also hoping to speak to two men believed to have been seen in the area at the time of the assault.
They were both last seen wearing face coverings and dark clothes, police say,
Anyone with information about this vehicle or incident is urged to contact Batemans Bay Police Station on 0447 200 99 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
