Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes at the Eurobodalla Animal Welfare League!
Dog of the week: Ace
Meet Ace!
Ace is a six-year-old handsome Australian Cattle Dog – a red heeler.
He came into care with Eurobodalla Animal Welfare League due to a relationship breakdown.
Ace has been living happily with children and another dog, and gets along with both well.
He’s been an outside dog until now, but AWL encourages pet owners to welcome their pets inside the house, as part of the family.
This is particularly important for people-focussed dogs such as heelers.
Ace will need house training but this can be done easily with frequent outside visits and lots of praise.
Typical of his breed, Ace is intelligent and energetic, so his ideal home will be one where he gets lots of mental and physical activity.
Ace is untested with cats and chickens, but shows an inclination to chase possums so is probably not the best buddy for small animals.
He is a faithful watchdog but very good with people and other dogs once introduced.
Ace is a beautiful boy with heaps of potential. He’s ready to start his second life and make someone a very smart and loyal companion.

If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy for yourself or your furry family members, look no further than Lulu. Photo: Eurobodalla Animal Welfare League.
Dog of the week: Lulu
Meet Lulu!
Lulu is a gorgeous 12-month-old staffy-mastiff cross.
Lulu came into care from the local council pound, so her history is a bit of a mystery.
She is a friendly girl who loves other dogs and children.
She willingly looks to her humans for guidance and would love another dog as a companion.
Lulu loves to cuddle up close to people and dogs. Lulu is currently living with a cat and managing well.
She’s a clever, quick learner who loves to please, and her basic obedience training is going extremely well.
As a young, social dog, Lulu is not suited to spending long periods on her own.
She has plenty of energy, so an active home with ongoing training and ideally another dog would be best.
Previously featured Pets of the Week James the cat, Daisy the dog, and bonded cats Daisy and Millie are still available for adoption.
Ace and Lulu are desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations. To arrange a meet-up with any of AWL Eurobodalla’s animals for adoption give them a call on 0410 016 612 or use the form on the AWL website.
