Motorcyclist dies after crash in Kosciuszko National Park

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Kosciuszko National Park.

A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the Snowy Mountains Highway at Kiandra, at about 3:15 pm on Thursday (20 March).

On arrival, officers attached to Monaro Police District were told a motorcycle appeared to have lost control before it crashed.

The rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he could not be revived.

Police say the body is yet to be formally identified, but they believe it to be a man in his 40s.

No other injuries were reported due to this incident.

A crime scene has been established and the motorcycle was seized for forensic examination.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
