Using sculpture, with both natural and synthetic materials, Chiswell comments on ecology and anthropology. Where else but the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery can you see bronze cast upside down trees with axes for limbs?

When: 23 November, 1 to 3:30 pm
Where: Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens, Deep Creek Dam Rd, Batemans Bay
Cost: $22 drop-in pass to $37 two-session pass.
This yoga class focuses on the ‘off the mat’ components of the philosophy of yoga often ignored, encompassing a range of ethical, mindful and transformative practices. Saturday’s session will focus on the idea of brahmacharya or non-excess. In a world of consumerism and shopping spree therapy, learn about time-weathered techniques to avoid pointless accumulation for its own sake. If you’re a yoga enthusiast looking for a little bit more, it’s a great way to make your approach more holistic. It includes face-to-face sessions as well as weekly reflections and journal prompts and WhatsApp group discussions. The learning doesn’t stop when the class does.
Sunday
Sunday Sessions

Sunday sessions are on every week at the Goulburn Club for you to stretch your musical muscles. Bring an instrument or just your voice and join in with the community in sharing songs, poetry, stories and tunes. With a focus on traditional Australian, Americana, Celtic and folk music, it’s a proper community night of rural colour and country flavour. If you’re looking to bring a new performance to a low-key and judgement-free space, keen to sing an old classic that everyone knows by heart, or you just want to wind down the weekend with a few quiet drinks and some ballads, it’s a great event.
