A woman missing in the Snowy Mountains has not been seen for a week, but possibly even longer.

NSW Police said 48-year-old Lovisa Sjoberg was seen and spoken to on 8 October.

However, police believe she was then last seen driving a grey Mitsubishi Outlander with the NSW registration DF25BA at about 7 am on 15 October in the Kosciuszko National Park.

When she could not be located or contacted, police were notified on Monday (21 October) and began inquiries into her whereabouts.

“Police and family hold concerns for Lovisa’s welfare due to her acting out of character and being missing for an extended period of time,” a police spokesperson said.

“Lovisa is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with an olive complexion, black hair and brown eyes.”

Ms Sjoberg is known to frequent the Kiandra area and national parks around the Snowy Mountains.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online by clicking here.
