Jyle Molloy from Queanbeyan has been officially identified as the man whose body was found on the side of Pialligo Avenue earlier this year.
ACT Policing continues to trace the 28-year-old’s movements leading up to his death on Sunday, 27 February.
On the night he died, Mr Molloy attended the Red Hot Summer Festival in Commonwealth Park. He was wearing black jeans, a black ‘Gee-d up’ t-shirt, Nike shoes and he was carrying a Gucci-brand bumbag.
Police have confirmed that between 9:30 pm and 10:45 pm, Mr Molloy spent time in the City with friends before walking alone towards Canberra Olympic Pool and up to Constitution Avenue in Russell.
His last known sighting was around 10:45 pm in Russell before he was found deceased at approximately 11:05 pm on Pialligo Avenue, between the Canberra Airport and Oaks Estate.
Investigators have confirmed he would have had to have travelled by vehicle from Russell to Pialligo in the time before his death.
Mr Molloy was found with injuries consistent with being struck by a moving vehicle, and he was found shortly after he was struck.
Police are appealing for more information as they continue to investigate his death.
Anyone who saw or collected Jyle on the evening of 27 February between Russell and Pialligo, or was travelling eastbound on Pialligo Avenue towards Queanbeyan, is urged to contact police.
Officers would also like to speak with anyone who drove from Canberra towards Queanbeyan via the airport between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm on Sunday, 27 February.
