There’s plenty to see and do in the region this week.
Regional towns continue to light up as the Aussie NightMarkets tour of NSW settles at Queanbeyan Showground this weekend.
Crowds will gather at Cooma Racecourse for the historic Sundowners Cup on Sunday, 5 December, celebrating a 1959 film that featured a horse race at the same location.
Gear up for the holidays with a camping and caravanning expo in Batemans Bay, or create your own advent calendar in Goulburn.
There’ll also be recreation of all sorts happening in Bermagui throughout the weekend, while the Gravity Girls are taking to the hills around Thredbo for a crash course in mountain biking.

A weekend to run, refresh and relax in a beautiful beach town, ReBoot in Bermagui offers a variety of family-friendly activities for all ages and abilities, including fun runs, ocean swims, group road bike rides, team tug-o-wars, paddleboarding, yoga, Pilates, surf lessons, golf competitions and barefoot bowls.
Aussie NightMarkets: Queanbeyan
When: Saturday, 4 December, and Sunday, 5 December, from 4 pm to 10 pm

Queanbeyan nights will come alive this weekend as the touring Aussie NightMarkets descend on the town. There’ll be international street food and gourmet food vendors, a dedicated dessert section, boutique and regional retail shopping, and kids’ rides, jumping castles and games.
Batemans Bay Lifestyle and Leisure Roadshow
When: Friday, 3 December, to Sunday, 5 December, from 9 am to 5 pm
Where: Hanging Rock Sports Complex, Batemans Bay

Batemans Bay Lifestyle and Leisure Roadshow offers a wide range of outdoor activities and products. Most of the major caravan brands will in attendance at the expo, as well as makers of camper trailers, motorhomes and boats. There will also be loads of outdoor accessories on display. This show will have everything you need to enjoy the great outdoors with comfort and safety.

Hilltops Cherry Time Market Day and Pop-Up Exhibition

There will be artworks, a variety of goods for sale and live music as part of the Hilltops Cherry Time Market Day on Saturday, 4 December, on the Young Railway Station platform. Live music will be provided by local performer Judy Barker.
Cooma Sundowners Cup
When: Saturday, 4 December, from 12 pm to 5 pm
Where: Ti Tree Racecourse, Numeralla Road, Cooma
Cost: $20 – tickets can be purchased from Mainstreet Clothing, Sharp Street, Cooma
Cooma’s annual horse racing event returns, with the main event of the day being the Sundowners Cup, named in honour of the film, The Sundowners, which was filmed in and around Cooma, Adaminaby and Nimmitabel in 1959.

Tilba Market

When you visit the charming historic township of Central Tilba on a Saturday morning, you can’t go past Tilba Market held in the Big Hall every week. There is a variety of stalls selling a range of products, including fresh fruit and vegetables; free range eggs; local honey; jams and preserves; and delicious baked treats.

Gravity Girls Clinic

Gravity Girls is a women’s only mountain bike clinic designed to bring together the female riding community and progress your riding skills in a supportive environment with other fun and encouraging participants.
Gravity Girls is grouped into three experience levels and focuses on the core skills of mountain biking, including body position, cornering and braking. More advanced riders will also learn the fundamentals of jumps and drops.
We Love Local at Tallagandra Hill Winery: Stewart Barton

Stewart Barton will continue a series of free Sunday afternoon music sessions at Tallagandra Hill Winery‘s cellar door courtyard on Sunday, 4 December. A young and upcoming country rocks sensation, Stewart is a very charismatic performer delivering a high-energy and entertaining show.
This event is part of Tallagandra Hill Winery’s We Love Local festival of music. Pizza will be available at the event to feed the hungry crowd.
Adult’s Christmas Craft Advent Calendar Workshop
