66-year-old mother charged with manslaughter after son dies from stab wound

A 66-year-old mother has been charged with manslaughter after her 27-year-old son died from a stab wound in an incident on the NSW South Coast overnight.

Around 9:20 pm yesterday (10 September), police and emergency services were called to the Sanctuary Point home after reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers found the man suffering from a single stab wound to his chest. He was treated by NSW Ambulance Rescue paramedics at the scene but died on the way to hospital.

The woman was arrested at the home and taken to Nowra Police Station where she was charged with manslaughter. She has been granted conditional bail and is expected to appear at Nowra Local Court this Friday (14 September).
