At Batemans Bay, the Luminescence Chamber Singers are coming to perform a fascinating musical interpretation of Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights, a work that invites wonder and terror. If you have a love of the weird and wonderful, this is a must-see event.
The Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre at Moruya celebrates the work of Dr Seuss with an art show of his prints, which focus on his creativity and capacity for imagination. Whether you have close-held memories of Dr Seuss or you want to introduce your child to one of the best children’s artists, this is a great chance to engage with his work.

The September Kids Snow Festival is capping off the snow season at Thredbo with a full schedule of events for kids, spread across the area.
Highlights include everything from races held daily, giant outdoor games, Lindt Chocolate s’mores at firepits, trampoline sessions at the leisure centre, fireworks to light up the mountains, bungee trampolines and disc golf.

Art exhibition: The Wonderful World of Dr Seuss

The Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre presents The Wonderful World of Dr Seuss, a peek into the artwork of one of the greatest children’s writers of all time.
The display provides a look into Seuss’s private collection of limited-edition prints, where cats wear hats, green creatures sit on mountain tops plotting mischief, and there’s no limit to where you can go.
Seuss has inspired the imaginations of millions of children around the world and this special exhibition is a great chance to reconnect with and relive childhood memories, characterised by creativity, fun and inventiveness.

This workshop is a great chance to gain gardening insights from two pros, Hilton and Margaret Reynolds, who have a commercial organic herb business and a history of judging vegetable sections in local shows.
They’re sharing their wealth of gardening and horticultural knowledge with the public, answering any questions that you may have about supercharging your outdoor space. With five decades of experience in gardening, Hilton and Margaret are hard to match in terms of expertise.

The Death Conversation Cafe is about getting people together over coffee and cake to talk about death. People of all ages are encouraged to come together and have meaningful, open and free conversations about the inevitable, including fears, thoughts, reflections and hopes regarding the end. Hoping to break down social taboos, this forum may inject some levity into the issue occupying all our minds at some stage.

Inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’s half-millennium-old work The Garden of Earthly Delights, this performance by Luminescence Chamber Singers explores the themes of temptation, desire, indulgence and the grotesque through the music of Hildegard von Bingen, Josquin des Prez, Philippe Verdelot, Gavin Bryars, and new works from Nicole Murphy and Archie Tulk.
Luminescence Chamber Singers have turned a bizarre and alluring painting into a fascinating musical tapestry that is as provoking to the senses as the original work by Bosch. It can be interpreted in as many ways as one can imagine.
