Women’s Art Exhibition at Rusten House

Where: Rusten House Art Centre, 87 Collett Street, Queanbeyan
Cost: Free.
The Rusten House Art Centre celebrates International Women’s Day by showcasing a range of diverse and innovative female artists from across the area. This year’s exhibition focuses on the voices and perspectives of local artists both new and established. The works cover various mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, showing how artists from the area use a great variety of methods for self-expression, from bold declarations to more subtle and quiet statements.

The Yass Seniors Festival wraps up with a dance-based fitness session that focuses on movement and music for seniors who want to stay fit and have fun. Accessible and available to all levels of ability, Dance4Wellbeing brings seniors together to get fit.

Yass Show returns in 2025! There will again be lots of family fun, including a children’s arena with fun games and activities for the kids, regular magician shows and a patting paddock.

SummerSalt brings beloved Aussie artists to the Bay for a day of great tunes. History of Fashion with Elizabeth Burness

Flickerfest is Australia’s only Academy and BAFTA Award-qualifying short-film festival, screening the best of both domestic and international short films carefully selected from 3400 entries. Flickerfest begins in Bondi, with the best short films going on to tour around the country across 45 venues. Cooma Multicultural Festival & Rotary Markets

With dancers, music, interactive entertainment, international food stalls, henna, gift stalls and markets, the Cooma Multicultural Festival brings tons of things to see and do (and eat) to town. Celebrate the many cultures of the local area and get in the spirit of it all by watching cultural performances and enjoying wonderful food. Bring the whole family as there’s so much to keep you entertained throughout the day.

Collections on Tour ‘Making Home: A Short History of Houses, Interiors and Gardens in NSW’ at Cooma Cottage

This expert-led presentation invites you to learn about the history of homes, interiors and gardens in NSW, with a collection of physical material such as wallpaper, trade catalogues, tiles, architectural pattern books and historic garden sources to illustrate how home design has changed over time. For those interested in local history and local character it’s a great way to better understand how interior and exterior design has evolved.
