The Batemans Bay Makers & Growers Market has relocated to a new space with a whole new vibe in Batehaven.
With so many businesses stalled during this topsy-turvy year, the NSW South Coast makers and growers have bucked the trend by creating a new market space, bringing together a diverse range of locally grown fresh food, baked goods and quality handmade items.

Formerly a garden centre on Edwards Road, the market comprises three shop spaces and a large courtyard garden.
The shop premises include a bric-a-brac shop, Jess O’Shea’s fresh foods, and an art gallery which is a collaborative space exhibiting local artists Laureen Phillips, Mel Reidy, Nina Poulson, Carlita Delac, Lyn Barnes, Portia Dunn and David John. Sue Frazer is the gallery’s manager.
The shops and gallery are open every Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm, and on Sundays from 9 am until 1 pm.

The markets are held every Thursday from 10.30 am until 2 pm, when the courtyard is filled with stalls comprising plants, baked goods, arts and crafts.
On market days, Becky Sneddon has a good selection of tropical and indoor plants for sale, along with Glenda from The Garden Party Nelligen.

It is a lovely spot to sit and mingle outside, with light music. Coffee and barbecue hot snacks are also available to purchase.
