Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes at the Eurobodalla Animal Welfare League!

Dog of the week: Nina

Meet Nina!

Nina is a ten-month-old bull Arab-English pointer cross, with a gorgeous brindle and white coat.

Nina shows all the characteristics typical of both of these breeds. She’s gentle, laid-back and obedient, and is ready to be someone’s perfect companion.

Nina came into care because her family were finding the cost of feeding a large dog a bit too much.

They were sad to lose her and are hoping her new family will appreciate what a lovely girl she is.

Nina is calm and gentle, but as a large puppy, she is a bit too bouncy for small children.

She gets on well with people and other dogs, but has a little trouble understanding when older dogs don’t want to play.

Nina is smart and is going well with training.

She walks well on a leash and sits and waits for her food.

Her foster mum describes her as a beautiful girl with a calm and happy personality.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loving pup to share your life with, who has already learnt basic manners, Nina could be the girl for you!

Cat of the week: Missy

Meet Missy!

Missy is a 10-year-old calico and white shorthair cat who has come into care through no fault of her own.

Her heartbroken owners had to give her up as a serious illness left them unable to care for her.

Missy is a sweet, mature lady with a touch of independence, but she still enjoys a pat and a chin scratch.

Missy was kicked in the head as a kitten, which caused nerve damage.

As a result she tilts her head and is unsure of heights, but this doesn’t make her any less of a lovely, fuss-free pet.

Missy would suit a quiet home, possibly with an older owner, where she can offer gentle companionship.

Previously featured kittens Jett and Gomez have been adopted. Minn is still on the lookout for her forever home.

Both Nina and Missy are desexed, microchipped and up to date with their vaccinations.
