Homicide detectives are calling on the South Coast community to come forward with any information which could aid an investigation into the death of a man in Bomaderry earlier this year.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Brinawarr Street on 15 May to reports a man had been found with serious head injuries.
The 54-year-old was treated by paramedics on the scene and taken to hospital in a critical condition, but died as a result of his injuries.
That man was later identified as Rodney Strybis, a father and grandfather who was much loved within his local community.
He’s been remembered by his beloved rugby club, the Nowra Bomaderry Jets, as someone with a kind heart, who had respect for everyone and was always good for a laugh.

An investigation into Rodney’s death was initiated by South Coast Police before the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad took control under Strike Force McCanna.
Detectives have now released CCTV footage as part of their appeal to the community for information.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information about Rodney’s last known movements or any knowledge of suspicious behaviour in the area around that time to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or through their website and are reminding the public not to make reports through NSW Police social media pages.
Investigations under Strike Force McCanna continue.
