The Batemans Bay Seahawks have scored a major off-field win ahead of their historic leap into the AFL Canberra Premier Division, securing Monarch Building Solutions as Principal Partner for the next three years.

The deal will also see the club’s home ground at Hanging Rock Oval rebranded as Monarch Park from 2026 through 2028, marking a new chapter for the Bay’s proud AFL history.

A family-run business established in Canberra in 2005, Monarch Building Solutions is an award-winning construction and development company delivering projects throughout the ACT, South Coast and Riverina.

Announcing the agreement, Monarch director Marco Galeotti said the company was proud to support the Seahawks as they step into the top flight.

“The Seahawks represent everything we value – community spirit, determination, and a commitment to excellence. We look forward to supporting the club as it steps onto the Premier Division stage.”

For the Seahawks, who will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2026, the sponsorship provides more than a financial boost.

Club manager of football operations Michael Kenny said Monarch’s backing would help set the tone for long-term success.

“Monarch’s commitment represents a significant investment in the future of our club, both on and off the field,” he said.

“Their support will fast-track our development, ensuring our players and volunteers have access to the very best equipment, resources and facilities.”

Officially admitted into the AFL Canberra Premier Division earlier this year, the Seahawks will return to the ACT’s top league for the first time in three decades. They will join Ainslie, Queanbeyan, Belconnen, Eastlake, Gungahlin and Tuggeranong when the 2026 season kicks off.

It is a significant leap for the South Coast side, who have played in AFL Canberra’s Community Division since 2013, winning premierships in 2018 and 2023 and being named Community Club of the Year in 2024.

The move also creates a clear pathway for talented young players across the Eurobodalla to test themselves at the highest level of competition without leaving the coast.

The partnership with Monarch comes as the club prepares for other major changes, including a new clubhouse at Hanging Rock.

With the countdown to 2026 already underway, the Seahawks’ future looks brighter than ever. A Premier Division debut, new facilities and now a major sponsorship backing – all signs point to a defining era for Batemans Bay AFL.
