Police are investigating after a body was discovered on a Far South Coast beach this morning.

Officers attached to the South Coast Police District attended and have established a crime scene.

NSW Police would also not confirm if the body is that of a 23-year-old who has been missing since Sunday (18 January) after falling into Mystery Bay Beach.

The body has not been formally identified.

Inquiries are continuing.
