Police are investigating after a body was discovered on a Far South Coast beach this morning.
A NSW Police spokesperson said that at about 6:05 am today (23 January), police were called to Billies Beach, Corunna, following reports that a man’s body had washed up on a beach.
That site is north of Mystery Bay Beach, near Narooma.
Officers attached to the South Coast Police District attended and have established a crime scene.
NSW Police would also not confirm if the body is that of a 23-year-old who has been missing since Sunday (18 January) after falling into Mystery Bay Beach.
The body has not been formally identified.
Inquiries are continuing.
