A Canadian rapper whose hit tracks have become viral sensations and inescapable earworms will exclusively perform at this year’s Yours and Owls Festival, with the event’s line-up revealing the global talent is set to feature alongside homegrown stars.
BBNO$ is among the big names coming to Wollongong this October, with the rapper, singer and songwriter to bring his hits such as Lalala and edamame to Yours and Owls’ main stage.
“With a rep for bringing the party wherever he lands, Canada’s BBNO$ has fast become one of the most exciting and unpredictable names in contemporary hip hop,” a Yours and Owls spokesperson said.
“The guy oozes rizz, as the kids say. Get ready to dance, sing and laugh your way into a brighter timeline.”
He will perform alongside some of the country’s most popular talents, such as homegrown multi-instrumentalist G Flip whose fame and accolades have continued to climb with an ARIA #1, J Award, certified platinum, multiple ARIA Awards and a string of high-rotation singles.
Ball Park Music will also be making a return to the region as a festival crowd favourite, with the Brisbane indie band boasting an extensive catalogue of catchy compositions, emotionally intelligent, lyrical dance hooks and hit singles.
Other Australian sensations named in the line-up include DMA’s, whose melancholic Britpop-laced sound has been making an impact in the UK and Europe; Genesis Owusu, set to bring hip-hop swagger, funk grooves and punk intensity together in performance equal parts theatre and controlled chaos; and Grammy nominees Hiatus Kaiyote.

PNAU will bring everyone to their feet with their catalogue of era-defining dance hits, whereas Middle Kids’ intimately uplifting indie rock can help bring out audiences’ more vulnerable sides.
And The Drones will be making their mark after returning to the music scene this year following a 10-year hiatus.
“Icons incoming! The Drones are, without a doubt, one of the greatest, most uncompromising bands to come out of Australia, preach!” the Yours and Owls spokesperson said.
“Yes, that is unapologetic bias you are detecting.
“AMP award-winning, critically acclaimed, peer-lauded, and with a fanatical fan base, they announced their return after a 10-year hiatus in 2026, with shows selling out in hours.
“An expansive catalogue featuring seven and 12-minute singles, they deliver live sets that are more like a rock-and-roll reckoning than entertainment.”
Dozens of other talent and performers have also been announced as part of the new format festival, which will stick to its traditions on the first day with shows at Flagstaff Hill before expanding out into Wollongong City for the second.
“Think closed-off streets, big and small venues, music filling the air in plain sight and hidden away, waiting to be discovered around every corner as you wander through the laneways and streets, popping in and out, up and around at your leisure,” the Yours and Owls spokesperson said.
“As always, there will be a showcase of local arts and the best local food and beverage suppliers to enhance your festival experience.”
The festival will run on 3 and 4 October, with presale for the next round of tickets opening on 22 June, before general on sale opens on 24 June.
