Standing proudly on 26 acres just a few minutes from the heart of Goulburn, Kingsdale presents an incredible stone residence steeped in local history.
Located at 19 Marble Hill Road, this historic property was once a hotel watering hole, popular with workers across Goulburn’s busy limestone industry.
The hotel was designed by the celebrated local architect E C Manfred, whose portfolio included some of the most iconic buildings in the district. Among them stood the original town hall, which now hosts Goulburn’s performing arts centre.
Justin Gay from Ray White Goulburn describes Kingsdale as ultra-romantic and simply unforgettable.
“E C Manfred was regarded as one of Goulburn’s finest architects for good reason,” he says.
“Homes of this calibre are rarely brought to market. There’s substance here – in the craftsmanship, in the scale, and in the stories held within its walls.”
Stepping over the threshold, guests are treated to an immediate sense of the building’s rich and varied past. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a thoughtful mix of old and new.
Entering at ground level, visitors are led through formal lounge and sitting rooms with antique fireplaces to the U-shaped kitchen. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on this floor, along with a full-sized laundry room.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms, the third bathroom, a relaxed sitting room and a second kitchenette. Justin says the versatility of this floor plan would easily lend itself to boutique accommodation.
“Kingsdale would make a wonderful stately home for the astute hobby farmer, but the property is also perfectly suited for a small-scale hotel or Airbnb, function centre, or wedding venue,” he says.
“I absolutely love the heritage character that defines every space. Each room is a different colour, and you have these wonderful high ceilings throughout; even the window frames are high-class.
“There’s also a cellar beneath the home with internal access. Wine-lovers are bound to be excited by that.”

Kingsdale continues to make a statement outdoors, with manicured gardens surrounding the home and lush pastures beyond.
A sizeable steel rotunda contrasts with the home’s elegant stonework. It’s the perfect spot to host family and friends, or simply relax and take in the incredible sunset with a glass of wine in hand.
But this homestead isn’t just a pretty face – it comes equipped with a wool shed and cattle yards, as well as a dam, bore, and two large water tanks.
“You’re spoiled for storage here as well, thanks to three garage spaces and a big machinery shed with more than enough space for farm equipment alongside your toys,” Justin says.
“Kingsdale really does offer the best of both worlds. The new owners will get to enjoy rural living on sizeable acreage and secure a beautiful piece of local history, all just a stone’s throw from town.”
