Police have given nearly 60 charges to a man from the NSW South Coast town of Ulladulla after accusing him of abusing six children over two decades.

A NSW Police spokesperson said officers began investigating in July 2025 after receiving multiple reports that the man had allegedly committed historical sexual assaults in southern Sydney.

Officers raided the now-73-year-old man’s home in Ulladulla this week before arresting and handing him 58 charges.

“Police will allege the man committed the offences against six children between 1984 and 2001,” a police spokesperson said.

The man’s charges include 22 counts of sexual assault on a person under 16, 18 counts of indecent assault on a person under 16 and 10 counts of indecent assault on a person under 10.

He faced a bail division in the NSW Local Court on Wednesday (11 March) where he did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

The matter was adjourned to Nowra Local Court on 8 May. The brief of evidence must be served on his lawyers before that date.
