Two dead following accident near Bodalla

Two people are dead following an accident between a four-wheel-drive utility and a truck near Bodalla this afternoon.

Police are currently at the scene of the fatal crash that occurred near Bumbo Road, Bodalla, shortly before 4 pm.

A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the Princes Highway after reports a car and a truck collided.

On arrival, officers found the driver of a 4WD utility and the driver of a 14-tonne truck deceased.

The highway is blocked in both directions and diversions are now in place.

“Officers from South Coast Police District will conduct a full investigation and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner,” the police spokesperson said.

people have told her it was caused by a white ute that was overtaking and that did not stop after the accident
