A Narooma service station employee was been threatened by two men armed with a tree branch and a rock, with police now appealing to the community for information about the incident.

“About 6 am today (October 25), two men attended a service station on the Princes Highway and used a tree branch, length of timber and a rock to smash three console monitors and a screen,” police report.

“They demanded cash and cigarettes from the service station employee – who complied – and the two men ran from the building; the attendant was shaken but unhurt.

“Detectives attached to South Coast Police District attended and a crime scene was established.

“Police have a description of two men they believe can assist with this inquiry; they are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged 18 to 20, with a thin to medium build.”

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers – 1800 333 000.
