People on their way to the Snowy Mountains region have again been urged to drive to the conditions following a bus crash on Kosciuszko Road.

Just after 10 am on Sunday (3 July), emergency services responded to reports a bus had rolled several times on the road at Berridale.

According to the RFS, the vehicle had “reportedly lost control around a sweeping bend”.

The driver and 10 passengers were on board, who were all helped off the bus.

Police said five passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance. It’s understood an off-duty senior ambulance officer was also on-scene.

The driver of the bus was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative result.

Investigations into what exactly caused the crash are underway.

In a statement on Facebook, Berridale RFS urged all motorists to be careful.

“Please drive carefully … [this is] a timely reminder on driving to all road conditions this winter,” it said.

Anyone with information about the crash is being urged to contact Berridale RFS on 1300 722 164.
