Teen dies after being hit by school bus at Ulladulla

A teenage girl has died after being hit by a bus on the state’s South Coast this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to South Street, Ulladulla at around 3:00 pm after reports a child had been hit by a bus outside a school.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the girl died at the scene. She is reported to be a student at Ulladulla High School but she is yet to be formally identified.

Police from the South Coast Police District have begun enquiries into the incident.

The bus driver was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative result, and has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Road diversions are currently in place and the public is urged to avoid the area.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
