Four teachers have been charged after police alleged they assaulted several young children at a school in Queanbeyan.

A NSW Police spokesperson said it was alleged the three children, who were all of primary school age, were assaulted at the school between 2024 and 2025.

Detectives began an investigation into the alleged actions of four of the school’s staff members in November 2025.

After a multi-agency investigation involving Queanbeyan detectives and officers from the Department of Community Justice and the NSW Department of Education, the four staff members were all issued with charges.

A 63-year-old woman, a 65-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were all charged with single counts of assault, while a 46-year-old man received three counts of assault.

All four are expected to face Queanbeyan Local Court on 21 April.

“None of the four are currently working at the school,” the police spokesperson said.

Police did not name the school where the assaults were alleged to have taken place.
