A fundraiser like no other, the annual Tailwaggers event has plenty of attractions in store for dogs and their families, including a fun walk, games, competitions and plenty of prizes to drool over.
Dress your four-legged friend in their Sunday best to impress celebrity guest judge Taylor Beadle-Williams – currently on television screens as a contestant in The Voice.
For those who do not have a dog but would like to support the invaluable work of Animal Welfare League (AWL) NSW Eurobodalla there is a car boot sale, live music, sausage sizzle and raffles.
There are lots of reasons to come to the family-friendly 2026 Tailwaggers Wag and Walk at Narooma’s NATA Oval at 9 am on Sunday 20 September.
There will be raffle tickets on sale, plus a ‘Guess how many biscuits are in the jar’ competition.
The pawsome prizes include a one-week pet holiday at People & Puppers in Congo, golf packages from Narooma Golf Club, puppy hampers, vouchers from Honorbread and Swish Grooming, and more.

Musical chairs with dogs is so entertaining for participants and spectators.
This year’s walk will be from NATA Oval and across the bridge to APEX Park.
On return to the oval dogs and their owners are invited to play musical chairs. Owners must dash to sit on a chair when the music stops and get their dog to sit beside them – no walk in the park when there is so much excitement.
They are also invited to enter the ring so Ms Beadle-Williams can judge which is the fluffiest dog, the best dressed, the best small dog, the best big dog, the dog with the best trick and the dog most like their owner. There are prizes for each category, and owners are welcome to get dressed up too.
The biggest prize, the tea and cake lovers’ hamper, goes to the happiest dog. Every dog registered for the walk is in the running for that.
Ms Beadle-Williams is excited to be involved in the 21st Tailwaggers event.
“Besides music, I’m actually a dog walker and spend a huge part of my life around dogs, so this event is basically my idea of a perfect day,” she said.
“I’m also very happy to be able to support the amazing work of the AWL NSW however I can. If that means meeting all the dogs, judging the ring events and helping crown the happiest dog at Tailwaggers, well, I guess someone has to do it. Choosing just one winner might be the hardest job of the day.”

Taylor Beadle-Williams is the Tailwaggers’ celebrity guest judge. That evening she will be appearing in the semi-finals of The Voice.
Staff from Montague Vets Narooma will be on hand to clip nails after the fun walk, with proceeds donated to AWL NSW Eurobodalla.
AWL NSW Eurobodalla provides support for animals and people in need. It provides desexing vouchers for concession holders and helps fund vet procedures for those on lower incomes. It also facilitates rehoming of dogs by putting people in touch with each other.
The car boot sale on the oval is always popular. Entry costs $20 for a car and $30 for a ute or truck. Gates open for cars at 7:30 am and the public can arrive from 8 am.
Registration for the dog walk opens at 9 am on the day and costs $5 per dog.
There will be live music plus a sausage sizzle, supported by vouchers from Woolworths. Narooma RFS will have their fire truck at the oval as part of its Get Ready campaign.
For more information call AWL NSW Eurobodalla’s liaison line on 0410 016 612.
The team is asking everyone to put their best paw forward and support their major annual fundraiser so they can continue their vital work caring for local pets in need.
