A man has been charged after a pistol and drugs were allegedly seized following a pursuit in the Riverina.

Just after 11:20 am on Monday (2 March), police were called to Crowes Road, Coolac, following reports of a man allegedly supplying prohibited drugs.

When officers attached to Riverina Police District attended and attempted to speak to the man, he allegedly left the scene in a sedan. When he allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated; however, a short time later, it was terminated due to safety concerns.

At about 12:30 pm on the same day, officers were patrolling on Darbalara Road, Darbalara, about 18 km west of Gundagai, when they located the sedan and initiated a second pursuit.

A short time later, the vehicle crashed into a paddock gate, coming to stop at a rural property before the driver allegedly left the scene on foot.
