Police have arrested a total of 11 people and seized almost $200,000 in cash, as well as different quantities of drugs while busting an alleged ‘dial-a-dealer’ syndicate said to be operating on the ACT/NSW border.

Eight suspected members of the syndicate were charged last week after police alleged the group had been selling a “cocktail” of drugs between Canberra and Queanbeyan.

The arrests were made after NSW Police formed Strike Force Torlin in September 2025 to investigate the supply of drugs on the border.

This week, police announced the strike force had charged an additional three men.

Police also seized over $180,000 in cash, 250 grams of cocaine, 150 MDMA capsules and 500 grams of cannabis.

The three new arrests included an incident in which police spoke to two 19-year-old men in a carpark on Crawford Street and Antil Street, Queanbeyan, on Friday (20 March) before searching their car.

Police reported finding 58 MDMA capsules, 0.5 grams of cocaine and a mobile phone, before both men were arrested and taken to Queanbeyan Police Station.

Later that afternoon, officers tried to arrest an 18-year-old man before he allegedly drove off at speed.

Officers were able to stop and arrest him and three others inside the car, Police said they seized 20 MDMA capsules, 344 grams of cannabis, knuckle dusters and OC spray.

While the 18-year-old was charged, the passengers were released pending further inquiries.

All 11 people remain before the courts.

In general, ‘dial-a-dealers’ use messaging services to allow buyers to order drugs online, then arrange for a location to supply those substances.
