The Australian Blues Music Festival
When: Friday 18 November, 5 – 11 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 19-20 November, 10 am – 10 pm

The Australian Blues Music Festival is back from 18-20 November to celebrate its 25th year. Across the three days, there will be performances by 30 talented blues acts that will perform across multiple venues around Goulburn, including the Goulburn Railway Bowling Club and the Goulburn Workers Club.
The line-up includes local and interstate acts featuring well-known stars in the blues genre, including Owen Campbell and the Cosmic People, Sultana Southwell and Roulette and the SunBears. Minnie Marks, the Marvellous Hearts and Chloe Kay and The Crusade will also be making an appearance.

Crank it Up Batemans Bay
When: Friday to Sunday, 18-20 November, 10 am – 4 pm

A three-day, jam-packed rock ‘n’ roll event is coming to Batemans Bay this November.
Held by the Batemans Bay Rock n Rollers in partnership with the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club, it will feature seven free rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly and jump swing bands that are local and from Melbourne and Sydney. They will perform across two stages.
There will also be two highlight performances on Friday and Saturday nights.
Other attractions are hot-rod, classic car, custom car and bike displays as part of the Tyre Torque Show n Shine car show, retro and vintage market stalls, dance workshops, jumping castles, face painting, buskers and plenty of local food.

Classic flicks: Singin’ in the Rain

The Batemans Bay Library is hosting a matinee screening of the classic film, Singin’ in the Rain.
The light-hearted film stars Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and a 19-year-old Debbie Reynolds.
With some of the most iconic dance scenes shown in film history, there’s nothing better than relaxing, unwinding and reminiscing about your childhood with this family favourite.

Convoy for Kids Goulburn
When: Saturday, 19 November, 12 – 9 pm
Where: Goulburn Recreation Centre, 45 Braidwood Road, Goulburn
Cost: Free entry for kids under 18; tickets can be purchased upon entry.
One of Goulburn’s leading children’s charity organisations, Convoy for Kids, is aiming to break records, with more than 285 trucks and other vehicles expected to participate in its carnival day this November.
This year’s event promises free entry for all kids under 18, which includes unlimited access to all the carnival rides, as well as free face painting, live performances, belly dancing groups, bingo competitions and market stalls coming from all around Canberra and Sydney.
With plenty of prizes up for grabs, a meet-and-greet session with Bluey and Bingo and 5000 people expected to attend, this event is one you won’t want to miss.

The Black Sorrows

Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows have landed back at number one on the ARIA Blues Chart three times so far with their album Saint Georges Road. This marks a milestone for Joe Camilleri as it is his 50th album release.
To celebrate, Joe has reunited with Grammy-nominated Peter Solley to put on a special show at the Tallagandra Hill Winery this weekend.

The Australian Blues Brothers Show has been performed all over the country and it’s coming to Goulburn this weekend.
As one of Australia’s best tribute acts, which has appeared on television numerous times, and toured in major clubs and theatres, The Australian Blues Brothers Show features Jake, performed by Stevie Vee, and Elwood, performed by Marc Tribbia.
They will be performing some of the most iconic songs from all the Blues Brothers movies including Sweet Home Chicago, Shake A Tailfeather, Rawhide and more.

Namaste Rosé – Morning Yoga and Brunch

Taking place in Wamboin is Contentious Character’s signature Namaste Rose event – Morning Yoga and Brunch.
Come along this Sunday for a yoga session with Jemymah from Kingston Yoga and then to follow, there’s a grazing board of three cheeses, homemade focaccia, and homemade preserves waiting for you. Not to mention, a glass of rose.
People are asked to bring their own yoga mat and arrive by 9 am.

One person’s trash is another’s treasure at the Bowning Community Hall Trash and Treasure markets. Purchase or swap for various items from stalls packed with books, clothing, homewares, vintage items and antiques. Those interested in having their own booth for $15 can book via the Bowning Hall stallholder form. There will also be a sausage sizzle and other food and drinks for sale.

He is the first Australian magician to have his own TV shows and has written, produced and starred in nine highly successful prime-time specials, which have been broadcast in more than 40 countries and seen by more than 500 million people.
The 2011 Australia’s Got Talent runner-up, and now children’s book author (who has performed all around the world, including New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Macau and across South-East Asia), will be putting on a show that’s not to be missed.
