A motorcyclist has died in a horror Good Friday crash on the Monaro Highway, leading to an ongoing road closure.

A motorcycle rider (believed to be a man in his 40s) died before emergency services arrived on the scene.

“Officers from the Monaro Police District have been informed the rider was travelling with several other motorcycles when it crashed onto the roadway,” police said.

“No other vehicles or objects are believed to be involved.”
