A man died more than a week after the car he was in crashed head-on with a fuel truck in southern NSW.
The two vehicles collided when travelling on Lachlan Valley Way at Kangiara, which is a locality between Boorowa and Yass, around 6 am on 19 February 2026, NSW Police said.
The impact caused the tanker to roll onto its side, trapping both drivers.
The 52-year-old male truck driver was treated at the scene before being taken to the Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
But the driver of the car, a 42-year-old man, needed to be airlifted to the hospital in a serious condition.
On Wednesday (4 March), police were informed he had died in hospital.
“As inquiries into the circumstances of the crash continue, anyone with dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Yass Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” a police spokesperson said.
